Visit the Chrome Web Store, search for "VoiceMyThoughts", and click "Add to Chrome". The extension will be ready to use immediately — no browser restart needed.
Chrome requires you to grant microphone permission. Click the extension icon, go to Settings, and click "Grant Permission". If it still doesn't work, check that your microphone is not being used by another application, and make sure Chrome has microphone access in your operating system's privacy settings.
The mic icon appears when you hover over or click into a text input field. If you still don't see it, try refreshing the page. Some websites use non-standard input fields that may not be detected. Let us know the URL and we'll look into adding support for it.
The Free plan gives you 10-second recording sessions with standard accuracy. Premium ($5.95/month) unlocks unlimited recording time, enhanced accuracy, and priority support. You can upgrade anytime from the extension popup.
Open the extension popup, go to My Account, then the Subscription tab. Click "Downgrade to Free" and your subscription will be cancelled. You'll keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
No. Voice-to-text conversion happens entirely on your device using your browser's built-in Web Speech API. Your audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server.
VoiceMyThoughts is currently available for Google Chrome (version 88 and above) and other Chromium-based browsers like Brave and Edge.
Simply close and reopen the extension popup — it automatically re-checks your payment status on every open and will activate Premium as soon as the payment clears. If it still doesn't show up after a minute, email us at [email protected] with your account email and we'll resolve it.
