Step 1 — Pin the extension
Click the puzzle-piece icon at the top right of Chrome, then click the pin next to VoiceMyThoughts. The mic icon stays visible in your toolbar so you can sign in or change settings anytime.
Step 2 — Grant microphone permission
Click the VoiceMyThoughts icon in your toolbar and follow the on-screen prompt to grant microphone access. Chrome will ask once; click Allow. The extension never records or uploads audio — transcription happens on-device.
Step 3 — Try it on a real text field
Try it right now in this practice box:
If you see a mic icon next to the field above, click it and say a sentence. The text will appear in real time. Try a few different sites afterwards — email, chat, search, AI assistants — the same flow works everywhere.
